Chhaava 2nd day box office collection: Vicky Kaushal’s new film Chhaava, based on the life of Maratha Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj had a solid opening on Valentine’s day.
On its opening day, the historical action film brought in Rs 33.10 crore, the highest for any Valentine’s Day film, breaking Gully Boy’s record, which had opened to Rs 19.40 crore on February 14, 2019.
On Saturday, on February 14, 2019, Chhaava showed a good jump and the collections were to the tune of Rs 39.30 crore. As a result of that the film has now accumulated Rs 72.40 crore.
Directed by Laxman and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshay Khanna and Diana Penty in lead roles. AR Rahman composed the film’s music and background score.
In the film, Vicky plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika plays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Akshaye plays Aurangzeb, and Diana plays his daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.
