Chhaava 1st day box office collection: Laxman Utekar’s most awaited film Chhaava finally hit the theatres today. The film starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, is based on the life of Maratha Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
A Valentine’s Day release has turned out to be a huge advantage for Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava. The historical drama had a great start at the box office on Friday, as it emerged the highest opener of 2025 so far.
Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava earned Rs 33.10 crore on its first day, as it has become the biggest opener of Vicky’s career. The film has surpassed the opening-day collections of his previous hits, including Uri: The Surgical Strike, which minted Rs 8.20 crore on its first day, and Bad Newz, which earned Rs 8.30 crore on opening day.
Additionally, Chhaava could break another major record by becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film ever released on Valentine’s Day. Currently, Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy holds the record, having earned Rs 19.40 crore on February 14, 2019.
The historical actioner, which is adapted from Shivaji Samant’s Marathi novel Chhava, also stars Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, and Neil Bhoopalam in pivotal roles.
