Chengiz the film that marks a turning point in the history of Bengali cinema by being the first Bengali film to simultaneously release in Bengali and Hindi, had its trailer launch today in Mumbai and has taken the internet by storm.
Present at the trailer launch were Superstar Jeet himself who made a bombastic entry in a vintage red car with fire guns in his hand and it was surely a sight to behold. Sushmita Chatterjee the female lead along with actors Rohit Bose Roy, Shataf Figar who will be seen playing pivotal roles in Chengiz, graced the launch with their presence too. Apart from the actors seen at the massive trailer launch were the director and producers Rajesh Ganguly, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani respectively.
Sharing his joy on the occasion of the trailer launch Superstar Jeet says, “It is such an overwhelming feeling to receive so much love and warmth from the city of dreams. I’m rooting for the positive response to the trailer of the film and can’t wait to see the audiences reaction when the film hits the theatres on 21st April. We set out with a dream to reach out to conquer people’s hearts with the content and hopefully I think we will receive the same love when the film releases.”
The female lead of the film Sushmita Chatterjee says, “My heart is filled with gratitude and happiness today. The amount of love that we received in Mumbai for the trailer launch is something beyond my imagination and such a positive response to the trailer is surely heart warming.”
Director Rajesh Ganguly says, “Our aim was to bring something very new to the audience and show Jeet in a new light. The trailer launch was a moment of delight for us and we have lived every moment, now the wait is for the blockbuster to arrive on the big screens.”
Produced by Jeet, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani, ‘Chengiz’ has been directed by Rajesh Ganguly who has also worked on the dialogues and screenplay. Based on a story by Neeraj Pandey and Rajesh Ganguly, the film is set for an Eid release on the 21st April 2023.
