Chandu Champion box office collection day 4: Actor Kartik Aaryan’s latest release, Chandu Champion, failed the all-important Monday test at the box office.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film opened to lukewarm response and made Rs 5.40 crore on its first day of release. On the second and third day, the film earned Rs 7.70 crore and Rs 11.01 crore, respectively. The total weekend 1st collection stands at Rs 24.11 crore.
Backed by Kabir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Pen Studios, Chandu Champipm saw a slump at the box office on Eid. Chandu Champion collected only Rs 6.01 crore on Monday, taking the total to Rs 30.12 crores.
Chandu Champion is based on the life of India’s first-ever Paralympics gold medallist and Padma Shri recipient Murlikant Petkar. The film revolves around the never-give-up attitude of Murlikant Petkar.
Apart from Kartik Aaryan, the film features Vijay Raaz, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Bhagyashree and Sonali Kulkarni.
