Chandu Champion box office collection day 2: Kartik Aaryan’s latest film Chandu Champion, which is a biopic of India’s first Paralympics gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, has had a slow start at the box office.
On the opening day, Chandu Champion recorded poor occupancy of around 15-16% and did the business of only Rs 5.40 crore. While Aaryan’s last film, Satyaprem Ki Katha scored Rs 8.25 crore on its opening day.
On the next day i.e. Saturday being weekend it witnessed slight growth in footfalls but still remained dull and minted the amount of Rs 7.70 crore. With this, total 2 days collection of Chef has become Rs 13.10 crores at domestic box office. As per current trend, it seems to rake around 21 crores in the opening weekend.
Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion tells the inspiring tale of a determined athlete. Kartik Aaryan portrays Chandu in this film, which is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming.
It also stars Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, and Vijay Raaz among others.
