Bobby Deol is at the peak of his filmography since the portrayal of a villain in Animal. While the actor is grabbing all the eyeballs, he’s already flooded with offers. Now, the latest is that the actor has been approached by Anurag Kashyap.
Recent reports from PeepingMoon.com reveal that Bobby and Anurag are collaborating on a gritty thriller. The film’s plot, based on a true story involving a man wrongly implicated in a rape case, has generated significant buzz despite being kept under wraps.
Adapted from an unpublished book by Anurag and two other writers, this project is a long-awaited partnership between the actor and director. Production is scheduled to begin in May, with most filming to take place in Mumbai.
Bobby Deol will be seen in a number of massive pan-Indian films this year. These are Tamil fantasy epic Kanguva co-starring Suriya, Telugu epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s untitled NBK 109, Kunal Kohli’s Desi Sherlock, YRF’s Spy Universe film with Alia Bhatt and Aryan Khan’s debut web series as a director Stardom.
As a director, Anurag Kashyap’s last film was Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat. His next release is Kennedy starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone.
