Superstar Vijay’s much-awaited Tamil film Bigil (Whistle) is running successfully worldwide and setting new records with every single day. After a blockbuster opening on Friday, it witnessed a usual drop in footfalls from the next day but still has a very strong hold over the audience.
Directed by Atlee, Bigil (Whistle) has got succeed to entertain many in theaters and received favorable reviews from the critics. With a good word of mouth, the film is performing phenomenally at the box office globally. Not only in Tamil Nadu but in rest of the country as well, it is getting an excellent response.
On the first day i.e. Friday, AGS Entertainment’ production opened on an earth-shattering note and registered the business of 30 crores across Tamil Nadu including 4.20 crores from Chennai, which is the good opening numbers by any Tamil film in the state capital.
Then on Saturday, despite a usual drop, Bigil (Whistle) did the business of 26.60 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday as well, the film remained strong and managed to collect 18.50 crores. With this, its total collection after 3 days, has become 75.10 crores including approx. 10.10 crores from Chennai.
Director Atlee’s combo with Thalapathy Vijay for the third time resulted in the sports-based drama Bigil, which stars the actor in the lead while Lady Superstar Nayanthara plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Vivekh, Indhuja, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Jackie Shroff and others.
