Bhool Chuk Maaf 1st day box office collection: Bhool Chuk Maaf, the latest offering from Maddock Films, has taken a surprisingly strong start at the domestic box office, collecting Rs 7.20 crore on its opening day (Friday). The film, headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi and Seema Pahwa in lead roles.
Industry expectations had been modest, with pre-release projections indicating a tepid start. However, robust spot bookings, widespread interest across urban and non-urban centres, and a strategically discounted ticket pricing model helped the film exceed forecasts and energize its Day 1 business.
What’s particularly striking is that Bhool Chuk Maaf has outperformed Maddock’s previous hit, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which had opened at Rs 5.49 crore despite the advantage of a Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) ticket offer. In contrast, Bhool Chuk Maaf achieved a bigger opening without such aggressive incentives, indicating strong audience pull based on content, star power, and positive word-of-mouth.
With the initial response surpassing expectations and a strong jump anticipated today (Saturday), Bhool Chuk Maaf is well-positioned for a solid weekend total.
