Sreenivas Bellamkonda, who is known for movies like Alludu Adhurs, Sita, and more in Telugu, will be making his Bollywood debut with Chatrapathi. The actor will play the role that Prabhas had played in the 2005 original.
On March, 27th, the makers of the film took to Twitter and shared a poster to announce the official release date and title. The Hindi remake is also titled Chatrapathi like the original. Chatrapathi will hit the theatres on May 12.
The new poster shows Sreenivas flaunting his chiseled bareback standing in the water amid a dark background of ships. The actor’s look has not been revealed yet and is kept under wraps.
Chatrapathi Hindi remake is being directed by VV Vinayak and produced by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the story for the original, has penned the script of the remake as well. Tanishk Bagchi is the music composer of the movie.
Chatrapati also stars Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammed Monajir, Vedika and Jason in supporting roles.
