The buzz around Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan continues to grow stronger with each passing day. The makers have been gradually introducing key characters from the film, and now it’s the turn of Nepali actor Anoop Bikram Shahi, who plays a pivotal role in the movie.
In a recent interview with the prominent media outlet Republica, Anoop expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Salman Khan, saying, “I’m beyond thrilled to share the screen with a global icon like Salman Khan.”
Reflecting on his experience working with Khan, Anoop described the shooting as “amazing.” He praised Salman for being even more humble and supportive than he had anticipated. Shahi also noted that Salman frequently expressed a genuine curiosity about Nepal and Nepali culture, something he deeply appreciated.
“This isn’t just my personal breakthrough in Bollywood; it represents Nepal and the Nepali film industry. I’m proud to bring our country’s name to an international stage,” he added.
Although Anoop declined to disclose details about his character, he said, “We’re still in the shooting phase. More will be revealed in due time, and audiences will get to see it on screen.”
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the Salman Khan Films banner, Battle of Galwan is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces.
