The official trailer for ‘Bandar’ was released on Thursday, presenting a crime thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Bobby Deol in the lead role. The film marks the first collaboration between Kashyap and Deol, with a theatrical release across India planned for June 5, 2026.
The trailer introduces Bobby Deol as Samar Mehra, a fading television superstar grappling with fame, loneliness, and a flirtatious public image. The narrative takes a darker turn when Samar connects with a woman, portrayed by Sapna Pabbi, through a dating app. She later accuses him of rape, blackmail, and extortion.
Samar maintains his innocence and describes the woman as a stalker. The trailer depicts him becoming embroiled in a legal battle against a system that appears deeply corrupt.
In addition to Bobby Deol and Sapna Pabbi, the cast includes Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Riddhi Sen, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Nagesh Bhonsle in significant roles.
The screenplay was written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, known for works such as Paatal Lok, Kohrra, and Udta Punjab. The film is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi’s Saffron Magicworks and supported by Zee Studios.
