Awarapan 2 2nd day box office collection: Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has continued its impressive run at the box office, recording a massive jump on Saturday, which coincided with the Independence Day holiday. The film collected Rs 34.09 crore on Day 2, taking its two-day India net collection to Rs 57.49 crore.
The film had opened with Rs 23.40 crore on Friday, and the strong Saturday growth indicates that audiences have responded positively to the romantic-action drama. Occupancies have reportedly remained particularly strong in Tier 2 and Tier 3 centres, as well as at non-national cinema chains.
The Independence Day holiday provided a major boost to the film’s business, with Saturday collections showing a significant increase over its opening day. If the momentum continues on Sunday, the film is expected to comfortably cross the Rs 80 crore mark during its opening weekend.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is written by Bilal Siddiqui and Vishesh Bhatt. The film features Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Suvinder Vicky and Aniruddh Rawal in key roles.
Presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film is currently running in cinemas worldwide. Pen Marudhar is handling its all-India theatrical distribution.
