Two weeks back released crime drama Article 15 has completed its 2 weeks journey on a good note at domestic box office. After a decent start in its early days, the movie was expected to remain steady for long but unfortunately it was started facing abrupt drops in its business from weekdays.
Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra & Manoj Pahwa, the Hindi crime drama has got succeed to impress many in theatres and received mostly positive reviews. While some haven’t found it convincing despite the excellent performance of all the actors.
In the opening week, Anubhav Sinha’s directorial received overall good occupancy across the country and did the business of 34.21 crores including 20.04 crores of weekend and 14.17 crores of weekdays. In the second weekend, the movie showed little growth and managed to rake the business of 12 crores with 2.65 crore of Friday, 4 crores of Saturday and 5.35 crores of Sunday.
After 10 days, total collection of Article 15 was recorded as 46.21 crores. Then in weekdays, asusual being normal working days the movie got lesser audience in theaters. On its 2nd Monday, it faced almost 23.80% of drop than last Friday and added the amount of 2.02 crore to its account.
With further decrements, it collected the amount of 1.25 crore on Tuesday and 1.35 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer reported more drop and minted the amount of 1.51 crore to make its 2 weeks domestic total as 52.34 crores.
