Arijit Singh, one of India’s most celebrated playback singers, is set to explore a new creative frontier — film direction. According to reports, the musical powerhouse will soon make his debut as a Bollywood director with a jungle adventure film.
A source close to the development revealed, “Arijit Singh is stepping into direction with a one-of-a-kind jungle adventure. Mahaveer Jain is thrilled about the film and is investing heavily to make it a pan-India experience.”
The source further said, “The casting and prep are underway. The team plans to announce the film once the casting and title are locked. Until now, Arijit Singh has rocked the show as a singer, due to which he’s also a top artist on Spotify. Now, he will surprise one and all with his directorial prowess.”
The upcoming project is written by Arijit himself and Koyel Singh. The film is being jointly produced by Sudipta Bhattacharya, Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Bala Saheb Darade under the banners of Mahaveer Jain Films and Alokdyuti Films.
It is also co-produced by God Bless Entertainment.
