In the blockbuster film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, lead stars Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan both shared significant screen time together and any scene involving the two became an instant fan-favorite. In a recent conversation, Director Nag Ashwin shared that both the actors shared a lot of mutual admiration, leading to some memorable moments.
Shedding light on this bond between the two stars, Ashwin talked about Prabhas was there when they shot the first scene of Ashwatthama. He was in complete awe. How Prabhas is very humble, but he was even more overwhelmed.
Recounting that the admiration was mutual, Ashwin added, “What was even more surprising was to see, how big a fanboy is Bachchan sir of Prabhas. He went back and said, ‘Can you believe it is the Baahubali, your fans are going to be so angry because Nagi is making me hit you. What is going on?’ He was fully excited whenever he had a scene with Prabhas. There were some scenes I could not shoot together, but separately, and he would be so disappointed, saying, ‘But I want to do that scene with Prabhas.’ He is just such a big fan of the personality and phenomenon that Prabhas has become.”
The director also noted that Amitabh Bachchan expressed his admiration after watching Prabhas in Salaar-Part 1. “On one of the last days of shoot, after Salaar was released he was so excited, he called him and said I watched it twice and you were amazing in the film. Both have amazing mutual admiration.”
