The wait is finally over for fans of South Indian superstar Allu Arjun and blockbuster director Atlee, as the duo is all set to begin filming their ambitious new project, tentatively titled AA22×A6, in Mumbai starting tomorrow.
A report from Mid-Day says that the actual shooting of the film will begin this Thursday. The first day of shooting is planned to last about eight hours. The team is also preparing for a special photo shoot tomorrow to officially announce the project.
The first leg of filming will take place in Mumbai over the next few weeks, focusing on key sequences involving major sets and action blocks. Sources say the team is planning to shoot across multiple international locations later this year, including Europe and Southeast Asia, to bring the story’s ambitious world-building to life.
Sun Pictures is producing the film, and sources close to the team say significant investment is being poured into cutting-edge visual effects and international collaborations, including Hollywood VFX studios that previously worked on major global franchises.
Deepika Padukone, the primary female lead, will join them in the second half of this year after she completes shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’. AA22 x A6 is scheduled for a pan-India release in late 2026, with versions planned in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
