The makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi shared a video on their respective social media accounts on Tuesday in which they announced that the first look of the film will be unveiled Wednesday i.e 15 Jan 2020.
On the official Twitter handle of Bhansali Productions, shared the motion poster and wrote, “The wait ends and the excitement begins now Get ready to dive into her world, first look out tomorrow. #GangubaiKathiawadi, in cinemas, 11 September 2020!”
The motion poster begins with a signature big red bindi escalating in the films title Gangubai Kathiawadi. One can notice the font gives us a happy feel, which might be Alia’s character feels. The poster is backed by a beautiful background music that serves as the theme of the poster and possesses a signature Sanjay Leela Bhansali feel to it. The music is grand and catchy at the same time.
The actress, who was last seen in Gully Boy, took to Twitter and announced the same by sharing a short video. She wrote, “A name you’ve heard a story you haven’t. #GangubaiKathiawadi This ones going to be special!! Directed by #SanjayLeelaBhansali, releasing 11 September 2020.”
Gangubai is based on the legendary brothel runner who changed the face of Mumbai’s Kamathipura. This is the first time when Bhansali and Alia have come together for a film. Earlier there were reports that Bhansali has rope din Priyanka Chopra to play the legendary brothel owner in his film.
Apart from Gangubai, actress Alia Bhatt is also with much awaited Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, helmed by Ayan Mukerji.
