In today’s digital age, where technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has raised serious concerns about the dangers of AI-generated content. The actor, known for his films tackling social issues, recently addressed the growing problem of misleading videos being circulated on various media platforms. His statement comes in light of recent AI-generated videos, which falsely depict him in the role of Maharishi Valmiki.

In a statement addressing the issue, Akshay Kumar emphasized the importance of media responsibility in the digital age. He said, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI. What’s worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as ‘news’ without even verifying if these are real or morphed.”
“In today’s time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information,” he added.
Kumar, meanwhile, is promoting his latest film ‘Jolly LLB 3’, which is currently running in theatres. The film has been performing well at the box office, with around Rs 60 crore nett in four days.
On the work front, he is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Haiwaan alongside Saif Ali Khan. The film is an adaptation of Mohanlal’s 2016 Malayalam film Oppam.
