The highly anticipated war-drama Ikkis, based on the life of the brave Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra (PVC) for his heroism in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, is set to hit cinemas worldwide on Thursday, December 25, 2025, making it a perfect holiday treat for moviegoers.

The makers announced the news with a post on Instagram, which comprised film’s poster with the release date written over it. “On 25th December, bravery marches into cinemas. Witness the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra hero. #IkkisTrailerOutNow – Link in bio. #Ikkis in cinemas worldwide this Christmas,” read the caption.
The movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast that includes legendary actor Dharmendra, rising star Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Deepak Dobriyal, Sikandar Kher, Rahul Dev, Vivaan Shah, among others.
Nanda made his acting debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s directorial ‘The Archies’. The series, which was released on Netflix, also starred Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Mihir Ahuja, among others.
Produced under Dinesh Vijan’s production banner Maddock Films, Ikkis is directed by Sriram Raghavan and is written by Raghavan alongside Arijit Biswas and Pooja Ladha Surti.
