According to reports, the film is still in the early stages of development, with discussions currently underway. While no official announcement has been made, industry insiders claim that the project could bring together elements of Indian folklore and supernatural storytelling on a large cinematic scale.

The decision to collaborate again stems from the strong rapport built on the sets of King. In that film—touted as India’s most expensive actioner with a budget of 350 crore—Bachchan faces off against Shah Rukh Khan in a “menacing” avatar.

Production for the horror thriller is slated to begin in September 2026, bridging the gap between the wrap of King and its highly anticipated Christmas release.

Siddharth Anand and Abhishek Bachchan share a long-standing association. Bachchan had appeared in a cameo in Anand’s directorial debut Salaam Namaste, and their rapport is believed to have strengthened further while working together on King.
