The much-awaited fourth season of Aashram has officially begun filming, bringing back one of the most popular characters in recent Indian streaming drama—Baba Nirala, played by Bobby Deol.
Prakash Jha Productions recently shared a behind-the-scenes photograph of a film clapperboard on social media, announcing the beginning of a new chapter in the Aashram saga. The production house wrote, “Ek Aur aarambh … Aashram ke naye adhyay mein aapka swagat hai. Japnaam 🙏 Aashram 4 now filming!”
The announcement has generated excitement among fans who have been waiting for the continuation of the story since the third season premiered in 2022.
Bobby Deol will reprise his role as Baba Nirala, the charismatic yet sinister godman at the centre of the series.
Aaditi Pohankar will reprise her role as Pammi, while Chandan Roy Sanyal will return as Bhopa Swami. The cast also includes Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Esha Gupta, Adhyayan Suman and Tridha Choudhury, who are returning to their respective characters.
Directed by Prakash Jha, Aashram follows the rise of Baba Nirala, a self-proclaimed spiritual leader whose influence extends far beyond religion. Behind his image as a revered godman lies a world of manipulation, political connections, crime and exploitation.

The first season of Aashram premiered on MX Player on August 28, 2020. The second season followed on November 11, 2020, continuing the story of Baba Nirala and the people caught in his expanding sphere of influence.
The third season arrived in June 2022, leaving viewers eager to discover what happens next in the story.
