Bollywood’s romantic landscape is set to be redefined with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, a poignant love story rooted in the world of the visually impaired. The film’s first song, Nazara, featuring Vikrant Massey and debutante Shanaya Kapoor, has just been released—and it’s already tugging at heartstrings.
Composed, sung, and written by the soulful Vishal Mishra, Nazara is a lyrical ode to love that sees beyond what the eyes can hold. The music video follows the blossoming romance between two visually impaired individuals, portrayed by Massey and Kapoor, in a way that’s sensitive, poetic, and emotionally resonant.
Meanwhile, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan is inspired by Ruskin Bond’s short story The Eyes Have It. It is one of the most-loved short stories among book lovers.
Shanaya will play the role of a theatre artist, while Vikrant Massey will play the role of a blind musician. The two meet during a train journey and gradually grow closer to each other. During their journey, they realize their feelings for each other, and a deep connection develops between them. The film explores the themes of love, trust, compassion, resilience, desire, freedom, and confidence.
Presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, and produced by Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is directed by Santosh Singh and written by Mansi Bagla. The film releases in cinemas on 11th July 2025.
