Kriti Sanon is reportedly gearing up to venture into a new cinematic space with an upcoming horror film produced by Maddock Films. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the actress has finalised the project, which is expected to mark her entry into a full-fledged horror film as the leading actor.
The film is said to be a departure from the production house’s popular horror-comedy universe, with the makers reportedly planning a more conventional horror narrative. While details surrounding the project remain undisclosed, the film is expected to be mounted on a large scale.
Kriti Sanon Explores a New Genre
Known for taking on a diverse range of roles, Sanon is reportedly keen to broaden her cinematic repertoire with this project. A source quoted in the report revealed that the actress has been looking to experiment with different genres and has now signed on to headline the upcoming horror film.
Unlike Maddock Films’ established supernatural comedy outings, the new project is expected to focus on pure horror. The film’s title, director, storyline and release schedule have not yet been announced.
Another Collaboration Between Kriti Sanon and Maddock Films
The reported project will mark another collaboration between Sanon and Maddock Films, with which she has worked on several projects over the years. It will also reportedly be her second solo-led film with the production house after Mimi.
Sanon received widespread acclaim for her performance in Mimi, which earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress, shared with Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
With the upcoming horror film, the actress is expected to explore a different side of her acting abilities. However, the project remains under wraps, and further details are awaited.
More information about the film, including its cast, director and production timeline, is expected to emerge once the makers make an official announcement.
