On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the makers of Ramayana unveiled a stunning new poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Set against a lush forest backdrop and a flowing river, the poster offers a first glimpse into the film’s grand visual world.
The newly unveiled poster showcases Rama and Sita sharing a serene moment in the wilderness, reflecting the film’s portrayal of their journey and relationship. The poster also confirms that the highly anticipated epic will arrive in cinemas in two parts.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in October 2026, ahead of Diwali. The second instalment is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027.
The ambitious project is being mounted on a large scale, with Prime Focus Studios presenting the film in association with Monster Mind Creations.
Ramayana features an impressive ensemble cast, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey plays Laxman and Yash takes on the role of Ravana. The film also stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, the demon prince and Shurpanakha’s husband.
Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash serving as co-producer. The film brings together an international creative team, with music composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, while Dr. Kumar Vishwas has penned the lyrics.
The film is presented by Prime Focus Studios in association with Monster Mind Creations, with Sony Pictures Entertainment handling global distribution. Dharma Productions will distribute the film in North India, while T-Series is associated with the music.
