Veteran actor Anupam Kher has officially completed filming for filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming family drama Yeh Prem Mol Liya. Sharing the update on social media on Friday, Kher announced the film’s wrap with an emotional note reflecting on his decades-long association with the celebrated director.
Calling the project “another beautiful chapter” in Barjatya’s filmmaking journey, Kher expressed gratitude to the director, cast and crew for what he described as a memorable experience.
“I’ve known Sooraj from the time he was an assistant on my very first film, Saaransh. Since then, we have shared the journey of more than eight films together,” Kher wrote, praising Barjatya for consistently portraying Indian family values, relationships and compassion through his cinema.
Describing Yeh Prem Mol Liya as a film with “heart, grace and a story that touched me deeply from the very first narration,” Kher said he is now eagerly waiting for audiences to experience the film. “Some journeys end with a wrap. The beautiful ones begin when they reach the audience,” he added.
Produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, Yeh Prem Mol Liya stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in the lead roles. The film features music composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
The family entertainer is slated for a theatrical release on November 27, 2026, following the Diwali festive season.
The film marks another collaboration between Sooraj Barjatya and Anupam Kher, whose association spans several acclaimed films over the years, reinforcing one of Hindi cinema’s most enduring actor-director partnerships.
