The “vibe” is back. After over a decade of anticipation, producer Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films have officially set the stage for Cocktail 2. In a move that has sent social media into a frenzy, the makers have confirmed that the first look of the film will be unveiled on March 18, 2026, strategically attached to the theatrical screenings and paid previews of the high-octane actioner, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
While the 2012 original defined a generation with the chemistry of Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, the sequel introduces a powerhouse new trio. Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna take the lead.
Director Homi Adajania, who helmed the first installment, returns to the director’s chair. Speaking about the project, Adajania noted that while the story and characters are entirely new, the film carries the “essence and energy” that made Cocktail a cult favorite.
In an exciting creative shift, the script for Cocktail 2 has been penned by Luv Ranjan, known for his sharp take on modern-day relationships in hits like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the film will also feature veteran actors Dimple Kapadia and Arjun Rampal, along with Rohit Saraf in a key role.
