In an exciting announcement that has set the internet abuzz, SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited film Varanasi has been officially revealed, with the title itself leaving fans and critics intrigued. The event, which took place in Hyderabad, was a grand affair titled Globetrotter, where the makers unveiled the first look of Mahesh Babu as Rudra, his character in the movie.

Varanasi promises to be a colossal spectacle in Indian cinema, featuring an ensemble cast that includes some of the most talented stars from across the globe. The lead role of Rudra will be played by Mahesh Babu, one of Telugu cinema’s biggest superstars.
Alongside him, Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will also play pivotal roles, making Varanasi a multi-lingual extravaganza that fans from all over India, and internationally, are eagerly awaiting.
Adding to the excitement around Varanasi is the announcement of the film’s composer, the acclaimed M. M. Keeravaani, who has once again joined hands with Rajamouli. Keeravaani’s previous collaborations with the director on films like Baahubali and RRR resulted in soundtracks that became iconic.
Varanasi is being produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya under the banners of Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business. The movie is set to release in 2027, and given Rajamouli’s reputation for creating films that dominate not only the Indian box office but also international markets, fans are already counting the days.
