The film, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash reportedly portraying Ravana, has been generating buzz ever since its announcement. Billed as a grand, VFX-heavy retelling of the ancient Indian epic, Ramayana aims to blend timeless storytelling with cutting-edge visuals, positioning itself as India’s answer to Hollywood’s mythological epics.

Originally, the title glimpse was slated to debut during the WAVES Summit 2025, held from May 1–4 in Pahalgam, Kashmir. However, due to logistical challenges and heightened security concerns at the event, the release was postponed. The filmmakers have now confirmed that the promotional reveal will take place digitally on July 3, giving fans around the world a chance to witness the scale and tone of the project.

The announcement video, which was recently re-censored and extended to a full three minutes, is expected to offer a grand first look. The launch event will take place at PVR Forum Mall in Bengaluru, starting at 11:30 AM, with the entire team expected to be in attendance.

Backed by Namit Malhotra and Yash, Ramayana will release in two parts on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027.
