Ayushmann Khurrana, Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has successfully maintained a good pace throughout the opening weekend. While Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhoot: The Haunted Ship has managed to register an overall decent weekend despite an ordinary start at the box office.
Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has expectedly got succeed to entertain many in theatres and gathered a good word of mouth. From critics, it has received mostly positive reviews for its engaging & entertaining storyline backed by the commendable performances of all the actors.
On Friday, T-Series Films & Colour Yellow Production’s presentation was opened at a good note and did the business of 9.55 crores. On Saturday, it took a good jump and minted 11.08 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, the film has managed to collect 12.03 crores and raised 3 days total collection to 32.66 crores at the domestic box office.
In parallel, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, and Meher Vij starrer Bhoot: Part One: The Haunted Ship has got failed to entertain the audience as well as critics and remained the second choice of viewers throughout the weekend.
Bhanu Pratap Singh’s directorial had started the journey at an ordinary note and scored only 5.10 crores on Friday. Over the weekend, it took a little jump and minted 5.52 crores on Saturday & 5.74 crores on Sunday. After 3 days, its total collection has become 16.36 crores.
