Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar box office collection day 1: A Holi release has turned out to be a huge advantage for Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The romantic comedy drama had a great start at the box office on Wednesday.
The Luv Ranjan directorial has received positive reviews from the audience as well as critics. According to reviewers, every actor had excellent performances in the movie, which was supported by clever screenplay & compelling direction.
On the opening day i.e. Wednesday, TJMM took an overall decent start in the morning as there were limited shows till noon across the country due to the Holi festival. From the evening shows, it recorded an exceptional occupancy in theatres and registered the business of 15.73 crores nett from 3500+ screens. Now, with an extended weekend, the film is expected to continue pulling huge crowds at the theaters.
Ranbir returned to the big screen with Shamshera last year, which didn’t perform well. However, he witnessed success with Brahmastra, which did well at the box office despite being unanimously panned by critics.
Apart from Ranbir, Shraddha, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also features Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in important roles. The buzz has it that Kartik Aaryan has also got a surprising role in the film.
