The Lion King 4th Day Collection, Passes Monday Trial on a Decent Note!

After a solid opening weekend, Disney’s much-loved 1994 animated film has got a reboot, and die-hard fans of The Lion King cannot get enough of the photo-realistic version. Despite stiff competition from Super 30 and Kabir Singh, The Lion King managed to get good numbers at the box office.

The new American Musical offering from Walt Disney Pictures, The Liom was released with an immense buzz among Indian audience and as expected it is getting an amazing response in metro cities. For its entertaining story-line, the movie has received mostly favorable reviews from the viewers and gained positive word of mouth.

Directed by Jon Favreau, opened on a terrific note and also witnessed a good jump post noon shows. On Friday, it did the business of 11.06 crores and become the ninth highest opener of the year so far in India. On Saturday, The Lion King recorded a slight more jump in footfalls and raked the business of 19.15 crores.

Then on Sunday, with a decent jump, it minted the amount of 24.54 crores and raised the opening weekend total collection to 54.75 crores from 2100 screens across the country. Now Disney’s presentation has stepped-in on weekdays and still has a good hold over the audience despite Super 30‘s good run.

On Monday, The Lion King faced a drop of 28.58% than Friday and bagged the amount of 7.90 crores. With this, its 4 days total collection has become 62.65 crores at the Indian box office. There has been a lot of curiosity around the Hindi-dubbed version of The Lion King in India as Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan have lent their voice for the film.
