The Kerala Story box office collection day 17: The Kerala Story, which released on May 5th is unstoppable at the box office. The film revolves around a Hindu woman from Kerala, played by Adah Sharma, who is brainwashed to accept Islam and go to Syria. She is later sent to the ISIS Terrorist Organisation where she is tortured.
Directed by Sudipto Sen, the film has expectedly gathered a positive word of mouth and as a result, did the business of Rs 171.72 crores including Rs 81.14 crores in the first week and Rs 90.58 crores in the second week.
Sunshine Pictures’ production is now running in the third week and had started the weekend at a superb note by collecting the amount of Rs 6.60 crores on Friday.
On Saturday, it had taken a good jump and minted the amount of Rs 9.15 crores. Then on Sunday, after further growth, the film has minted Rs 11.50 crores.
With this, the 17 days total collection of The Kerala Story has become Rs 198.97 crores nett at the domestic box office. As per the current trend, it is positively expected to go past 220 crores by the end of this week.
