Siddharth Anand directorial high-octane action drama ‘Pathaan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles had taken off to a tremendous start, shattering records on its first day at the box office, the film has managed to attract the audiences to the ticket windows so far.
On Wednesday, Pathaan was opened at a bumper note and registered the biggest opening of all time in Hindi Cinema with Rs 55 crores. Afterwards, it had recorded a more jump and minted the amount of Rs 68 crores on Thursday & Rs 38 crores on Friday.
On Saturday, YRF’s production had picked up again and garnered the business of Rs 51.50 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, the film has managed to collect Rs 58.50 crores and raised its 5 days total collection to Rs 271 crores nett from its Hindi version.
While from the Tamil and Telugu versions, Pathaan raked Rs 9.75 crores in the first weekend with Rs 2 crores on Wednesday, Rs 2.50 crores on Thursday, Rs 1.25 crore on Friday, Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday, and Rs 2.25 crores on Sunday.
Thus taking the five-day total box office collection to Rs 280.75 crore including Rs 271 crores from Hindi and Rs 9.75 crores from Tamil & Telugu versions.
