Mumbai Saga 1st Day Collection: John Abraham’s film takes a slow start!

The most-awaited film of the year Mumbai Saga is in theatres now and has unfortunately taken a slow start at the box office. The collections could have been slightly higher but the film’s business was hit by night curfews and other restrictions in Maharashtra, amid rising Covid-19 cases in the state.

Starring John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, the Hindi action thriller has received mixed reviews from the critics for its normal storyline backed by outstanding action & dialogues. From the audience also, it is getting mixed reactions.

On Friday, Mumbai Saga was opened at a dull note with only 10% occupancy in the morning. Post noon shows, it showed some improvement and managed to register the opening business of 2.82 crores nett at the domestic box office.

As per the current trend, Sanjay Gupta’s directorial Mumbai Saga is expected to grow over the weekend. While the adjacent noticeable release, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is expectedly getting a very low response and has raked the business of 0.15 crores* on Friday.

Mumbai Saga also stars Suniel Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kajal Aggarwal, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover, and Prateik Babbar. The film takes us back to the world cops, gangsters, deceit, betrayal, and violence, against the backdrop of the eighties and the nineties. It is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar of T-Series, Anuradha Gupta of White Feather Films and Sangeeta Ahir.
