The first look from Vasan Bala’s Netflix project titled Monica, O My Darling is out Now. Starring Radhika Apte, Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi, Sikander Kher among others. The film is named after RD Burman’s cabaret item number that was filmed on Helen in the 1971 movie, Caravan.

Sriram Raghavan and Sanjay Routray will produce the film under the banner of Matchbox Pictures. Reports also suggest that it is touted to be a comic caper set in a backdrop of an office space.
Rajkummar Rao and Huma Qureshi will reunite after a long time. The duo has previously worked together in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur series. However, they did not screen space in the franchise. So, Monica, O My Darling will mark the first film where the two will share the frame.
This film will mark Rajkummar’s third collaboration with Netflix after Anurag Basu’s Ludo (2020) and the Oscars-nominated film, The White Tiger (2021). While it will Huma’s second collaboration with Netflix after the show Leila (2017).
