After the stupendous opening, the highly awaited Malayalam offering Madhura Raja has remained strong throughout the weekend on a phenomenal note. As expected the movie is getting overwhelmed response from the audience at the box office due to strong word of mouth.
Starring superstar Mammooty, Jai and Mahima Nambiar, Madhura Raja is a action drama. Due to its impactful story-line and flawless performances by the leading actors, the movie has received positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience globally.
Vysakh’s directorial was released with huge buzz among fans and took a massive start as expected. On the opening day, the film witnessed houseful shows everywhere across India as well as worldiwde and did the business of 8.09 crores gross {Kerala- 2.97 cr, ROI- 0.42 cr, UAE-GCC- 4.45 cr, ROW- 0.25 cr}.
On the second day, like other Malayalam films, this one took faced a considerable drop in footfalls but still managed to remain strong. On Saturday, it minted the amount of 2.34 crores gross across Kerala.
Then on Sunday with a fair jump, Madhura Raja garnered the business of 2.67 crores gross and raised its opening weekend total collection to 7.98 crores gross at the Kerala box office.
Madhura Raja’ co-stars Anna Reshma Rajan, Shamna Kasim, Jagapathi Babu, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar, Vijayaraghavan and Nedumudi Venu in supporting roles.
