After registering a good opening weekend, the much-anticipated Hindi biggie Love Aaj Kal is now running on weekdays with a low pace. Due to mixed reactions, Love Aaj Kal didn’t witness much growth over the weekend and also recorded a significant drop afterwards.
Starring Kartik Aaryan, Randeep Hooda, Sara Ali Khan and Aarushi Sharma, the multi-starrer romantic drama has unfortunately received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience because of its unconvincing storyline.
In the weekend, Love Aaj Kal did the business of 28.51 crores with 12.40 crores on Friday, 8.01 crores on Saturday & 8.10 crores on Sunday. Then on weekdays, after a heavy drop, it managed to collect 2.75 crores on Monday & 2.25 crores on Tuesday. With this, its 5 days total collection has become 33.51 crores nett.
On the other hand, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu starrer Malang has also gathered a mixed review, with this, in the first week, it had raked the business of 39.65 crores with 25.36 crores in the weekend and 14.29 crores on weekdays.
Directed by Mohit Suri, the suspense thriller had maintained a steady pace and raked 8.02 crores with 2.25 crores on Friday, 2.52 crores on Saturday & 3.25 crores on Sunday. Then on weekdays, after a usual drop, it scored 1.53 crore on 2nd Monday & 1.49 crore on 2nd Tuesday. After 12 days, its total collection has become 50.69 crores nett.
