Saif Ali Khan’s film Jawaani Jaaneman has started showing growth in its collections compared to its opening day business. Jawaani Jaaneman is faced with tough competition from the Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Street Dancer 3D and Panga domestically.
On the opening day, it started the journey on a decent note and registered the business of 3.24 crores with 10-13% of occupancy. Due to favorable public response, it showed limited growth over the weekend and minted the amount of 4.55 crores on Saturday and 5.04 crores on Sunday.
With this, total collection of Jawaani Jaaneman has become 12.83 crores after the opening weekend. So far it was decent but the real test gets started from Monday when movies face an abrupt downfall in footfalls due to normal working days.
In Jawaani Jaaneman, Saif Ali Khan plays a playboy, Jaswinder Singh aka Jazz, who gets the shock of his life when he discovers that the girl (Alaya) who knocked on his door one night could be his daughter. Tia, a 21-year-old pregnant girl, is Saif’s daughter from his ex-girlfriend, played by Tabu.
The Nitin Kakkar directorial also stars Kubbra Sait and Chunky Pandey in pivotal roles and even they have managed to excel on the silver screen in ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’.
