Amar Kaushik directorial Bala, starring actors Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead, is all set to enter Rs 100 crore club. The movie has enjoyed a strong trending in the second week and is expected to continue doing the same in the next couple of days.
Bala has impressed many with its interesting & unusual story-line. It has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience across India and gained a solid word of mouth. As a result, it showed terrific performance so far at the box office.
Dinesh Vijan’s production opened on a strong note and showed solid uptrend over the opening weekend. By remaining rock-steady throughout the first week, it registered the business of 72.24 crores with 43.95 crores on the weekend and 28.29 crores on weekdays from 3000 screens.
In the second weekend as well, Ayushmann-Bhumi starrer maintained a very good pace and did the business of 18.50 crores that included 3.76 crores on 2nd Friday, 6.73 crores on 2nd Saturday & 8.01 crores on 2nd Sunday.
Then on weekdays, despite a usual drop in footfalls, Bala minted the amount of 2.25 crores on 2nd Monday, 2.05 crores on 2nd Tuesday & 1.96 crores on 2nd Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Thursday, the movie garnered the business of 1.80 crores and raised its 2 weeks total collection to 98.80 crores at the domestic box office.
