Janhvi Kapoor, Sreeleela and Siddharth Gupta have joined forces for an upcoming untitled thriller directed by Umesh Bisht. The film has officially gone on floors, with the first shooting schedule currently underway in Nainital, according to a source close to the project.
Confirming the development, a source revealed that the team has begun filming as planned, with considerable excitement surrounding the collaboration. The combination of Janhvi Kapoor, Sreeleela and Siddharth Gupta is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the thriller, as the cast and crew work towards bringing the story to the screen.
According to reports, the film is expected to follow a romantic thriller narrative revolving around two women who become obsessed with the same man. While the premise hints at an intense story involving relationships and complicated emotions, the makers have yet to officially reveal further details about the plot or the characters.
The project is backed by Ektaa Kapoor and Guneet Monga Kapoor. However, the film’s title, additional cast members and other production details remain under wraps.
Janhvi Kapoor, who was recently seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, has several projects in the pipeline, including Peddi. Sreeleela, meanwhile, has featured in films such as Dhamaka and Guntur Kaaram and was also seen in the song ‘Kissik’ from Pushpa 2: The Rule. Siddharth Gupta, who has been gaining attention for his role as Lord Krishna in Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart, completes the lead cast.
Director Umesh Bisht has previously helmed projects such as Pagglait, The Trial Season 2 and Gyaarah Gyaarah. His upcoming thriller brings together performers from different cinematic backgrounds for a story that is expected to explore the darker side of romantic relationships.
