Shah Rukh Khan’s King is already among the most anticipated films, and the action entertainer could be adding another exciting element to its lineup. Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan after 15 years for a special appearance in the film.

According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Kareena will feature alongside Shah Rukh Khan in a special song titled Daddy Cool. The track is reportedly being planned on a lavish scale and is expected to be one of the key musical attractions of the Siddharth Anand directorial.
Kareena is said to be heading to South Africa later this month to shoot the song with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress has reportedly allotted approximately five days for the shoot, with the makers preparing an elaborate setup for the sequence.
“Daddy Cool is being mounted as a very special song and will bring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena together in a way audiences haven’t seen before. It is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of King, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it memorable,” a source told Pinkvilla.
The song is expected to feature a collaboration involving an Indian artist and an international artist. However, the identities of the international artist and singer are currently being kept under wraps. The track has been composed by the popular music duo Sachin-Jigar and is reportedly being positioned as one of the biggest songs of the year.
The reported collaboration will also mark a significant reunion for Shah Rukh and Kareena, who have previously shared screen space in films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, Don, and Ra.One. Their last major on-screen collaboration came with Ra.One in 2011.
Directed and co-written by Siddharth Anand, King is being produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The film has an impressive ensemble cast that includes Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal.
The film is set to release in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
