‘Mirzapur’ fans, the wait is finally over. The much-awaited Mirzapur: The Movie brings back the violence, revenge, power games, dark humour and larger-than-life characters that made the franchise a fan favourite.
The film starts on a slow note, with the narrative taking time to establish the story. However, once the action kicks in, the film picks up pace and delivers several whistle-worthy moments.
STAR PERFORMANCES
Pankaj Tripathi once again proves why Kaleen Bhaiya remains one of the most iconic characters in the franchise. His screen presence is commanding.
Ali Fazal delivers the aggression expected from Guddu Pandit, while Divyenndu’s Munna Bhaiya brings back the madness and nostalgia that fans have been waiting for.
Jitendra Kumar makes a strong impression in his role and brings his own personality to the character. His performance adds another interesting layer to the ensemble.
But the biggest surprise is Ravi Kishan. His performance is powerful, entertaining and full of screen presence. He gets some of the film’s most memorable moments and manages to stand out even among such a strong cast.
Rasika Dugal and Shweta Tripathi also deliver dependable performances and add emotional depth to the otherwise action-heavy narrative.
GUDDU BHAIYA VS MUNNA BHAIYA
The Guddu Bhaiya vs Munna Bhaiya portions are among the film’s biggest crowd-pleasers.
The car-racing and chase sequences bring a proper big-screen spectacle and are likely to generate whistles from hardcore fans.
SONGS COME AT THE RIGHT MOMENTS
The songs are placed effectively and generally don’t disturb the flow of the narrative. They add to the mood rather than feeling completely forced.

The climax is the film’s biggest talking point.

THE NEGATIVES
The film’s biggest weakness is its long runtime. At over three hours, the movie feels stretched in places.
The first half is slow, and some portions could have been edited more tightly. At times, the film also leans heavily on nostalgia and fan service rather than pushing the story into completely new territory.
A few action sequences feel slightly forced, and the screenplay could have been sharper.
VERDICT
Mirzapur: The Movie may not be a perfect theatrical film, but it delivers enough BHAUKAAL, action, nostalgia, performances and surprises to satisfy its core fanbase.
Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu deliver what fans expect, Jitendra Kumar makes his presence felt, but Ravi Kishan emerges as the film’s biggest standout.
The slow beginning and lengthy runtime hold it back from being a flawless entertainer, but the unexpected climax and big-screen moments make it worth a watch for Mirzapur fans.
