Nagarjuna Akkineni has marked his birthday on August 29 with the unveiling of the first glimpse of his landmark 100th film, ‘King 100’. Written and directed by R.A. Karthik, the film has now officially locked its theatrical release for December 24, 2026.
The glimpse opens with Nagarjuna’s commanding voiceover, where he talks about how society divides people based on their wealth. He recalls being called a loser when he had nothing, only to be hailed as The King once he amassed wealth. A news report of a staggering 50,000 crore scam, accompanying Nagarjuna’s picture adds another layer of mystery to the proceedings.
King 100 certainly feels like an apt and powerful title for Nagarjuna’s landmark 100th film. Going by the title glimpse, the superstar seems to have chosen a script that is tailor-made for his stardom.
Nagarjuna is presented in an exceptionally stylish and dynamic avatar, with his screen presence making an immediate impact. He looks suave and sophisticated, carrying the royal swagger of a true superstar with remarkable ease. The glimpse effectively showcases his attitude and personality, instantly making his character intriguing.
King100 is produced by Annapurna Studios. Along with Nagarjuna, the film features an ensemble cast, with further details awaited. The technical crew includes cinematographer Raja Mahadhevan, production designer Sathees Kumar N, editor Navin Nooli and costume designers Poorva, Rajini, Tanya and Bhramma.
Action choreography is handled by Venkat, Prithivi, Nabakanth, Real Sathish and Dinesh Kasi, while Tuney John has worked on publicity design.
