The anticipation around ‘Daayra’ is set to intensify with the unveiling of two striking new posters featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in their respective cop roles.
Kareena Kapoor Khan steps into the role of DCP Ajooni Kohli, while Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays DCP Raman Kumar. The newly released posters offer a glimpse into the gritty, intense world of the film, with both actors sporting commanding police uniforms and serious, determined expressions.
The much-awaited ‘Daayra’ trailer will be released on Monday, 31 August 2026, giving audiences their first extended look at the film and its hard-hitting narrative.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, ‘Daayra’ marks another collaboration between Junglee Pictures and the acclaimed filmmaker, following their celebrated work on films such as Raazi and Talvar. The project brings together two powerhouse performers, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, for the first time on the big screen.
The posters establish a tense atmosphere, with Ajooni Kohli and Raman Kumar appearing to be at the centre of a challenging investigation. The film’s police-drama setting, coupled with Meghna Gulzar’s reputation for tackling intense and socially relevant subjects, has already generated considerable curiosity.
