Sun Pictures has officially announced the release date of the first single from Jailer 2. The song will be released on August 21, raising excitement among fans of Superstar Rajinikanth and the blockbuster Jailer franchise.
The production house shared a new poster on social media with the caption, “The Feast is ready! 🪘💥 #Jailer2 First Single releasing on August 21 🔥”, teasing an energetic musical treat.
The first single is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who returns as the music composer for the sequel after delivering the chart-topping soundtrack of Jailer. Given the success of the original film’s songs, expectations are high for the upcoming track.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Rajinikanth returns in the lead role, along with Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik. The sequel also features S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna in prominent roles.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, the film has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal.
With the first single arriving on August 21, the makers are expected to kick-start the promotional campaign for Jailer 2 in a major way. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15, 2026.
