Kartik Aaryan’s much-awaited aviation drama Captain India is expanding its cast, with acclaimed actor Parvathy Thiruvothu and Manish Chaudhari reportedly coming on board for key roles.
Presented by T-Series and Baweja Studios in association with Midnight Chai Films Ltd., the film is written and produced by Harman Baweja. The project is being directed by Shimit Amin, best known for helming acclaimed films such as Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
Parvathy Thiruvothu, known for her powerful performances across Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema, is reportedly set to play an important character in the film. While details about her role remain under wraps, her addition brings another strong performer to the ensemble.
Actor Manish Chaudhari, who was recently seen in Chand Mera Dil, has also reportedly joined the cast in a key role. The actor has previously impressed audiences with performances in films and series across Hindi cinema, making his addition another interesting development for the project.
Captain India is inspired by a real-life humanitarian rescue operation and is expected to explore the high-stakes challenges surrounding the mission. Kartik Aaryan is headlining the film, which aims to combine the scale of an aviation drama with an emotionally driven human story.
With Shimit Amin returning to direction and a cast that now includes Parvathy Thiruvothu and Manish Chaudhari alongside Kartik Aaryan, Captain India is shaping up as one of the more anticipated Hindi projects in the aviation-drama space.
The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on August 13, 2027.
