Sony Pictures India’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has made history with its global theatrical run. Starring Tom Holland in the lead, the film has become the first release of the year to surpass the $2 billion mark at the global box office and the second-fastest film ever to achieve the milestone. In India, the film has grossed Rs 538 crore, with a collection Rs 28.7 crores in its third weekend.

The film wrapped its third weekend globally on a strong note, collecting $785 million in North America and $1.23 billion internationally, taking its worldwide gross to $2.022 billion. With this, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has set several new benchmarks at the global box office.
Not only has the film become the second-fastest movie ever to cross the $2 billion milestone, but it has also become only the eighth film in history to enter the coveted $2 billion club. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has further cemented its place in the franchise’s history by becoming the highest-grossing Spider-Man film ever.
