Vishwanath & Sons 1st day box office collection: Suriya’s latest release, Vishwanath & Sons, has made a strong start at the box office. Released worldwide on August 14, 2026, the film earned Rs 15.15 crore net in India on its opening day, according to the reported figures.
The film’s domestic gross collection stood at approximately Rs 17.51 crore. Adding its overseas earnings of around Rs 10 crore, Vishwanath & Sons recorded a first-day worldwide gross of approximately Rs 27.51 crore.
The Tamil version emerged as the bigger contributor to the film’s domestic opening. It earned around Rs 9.15 crore net on Day 1.
Meanwhile, the Telugu version contributed approximately Rs 6 crore net, taking the film’s total India net collection to Rs 15.15 crore.
The opening indicates a solid response across the film’s major markets, with the overseas performance adding significantly to its worldwide total.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Vishwanath & Sons stars Suriya in the lead role as Sanjay Vishwanath, an ageing former Olympic pistol shooter.
The film also features Mamitha Baiju, with Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. The movie was released in theatres worldwide on August 14, 2026 and has reportedly received positive responses from both audiences and critics.
