After the success of Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday is gearing up for a dramatic shift in his second film, stepping into the role of a gangster in an upcoming action-romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
Moving away from his debut portrayal of a troubled musician, Ahaan has reportedly undergone rigorous training, including hand-to-hand combat and weapons handling, to embody a more intense and physically demanding character.
The film also features Jimmy Shergill in a key role, marking his return to Yash Raj Films after over two decades. He was previously associated with the banner in Mohabbatein, where he appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
While plot details remain under wraps, the project is described as a high-energy action-romance, blending a love story with a violent backdrop.
Filming began in Mumbai on April 3 and will continue there through April, followed by a schedule in London in May. The shoot is expected to wrap by July, with a theatrical release planned for early 2027.
