“RRR” director S.S. Rajamouli‘s next directorial venture “Varanasi” has unveiled a worldwide theatrical release date, positioning the Indian production as one of 2027’s major international releases.
SS Rajamouli on Friday announced the release date of his next big film, Varanasi. The director shared the news on social media. Varanasi, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Mahesh Babu has been locked for release on April 7, 2027, as the big Ram Navami film next year. “April 7th, 2027 #VARANASI (sic),” he wrote in the caption of his post on X while announcing the release date of the film.
For the unversed, the film Varanasi features an ensemble star cast including Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.
The film is reportedly being made on a massive budget, though the makers have not shared any specific details yet.
SS Rajamouli’s directoril Varanasi is produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya under the banners of Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business. The film is written by Vijayendra Prasad and SS Rajamouli.
